Title: Dynamic Beyer

Translated from the original German test report
For the money spent you receive good value. The design alone, which somehow appears to be classic, but when you look at it closer, it is very modern. Plus the solid quality. Even when you do not put the T 51 p on your head, you do not want to put it aside, because its metal feels so strong, its pads feel so soft and its yokes move so smoothly. Nevertheless, you will not hold the T 51 p in your hands that often, because it fits perfectly on the head. The soft ear pads attach gently to the ears and remain comfortable even when wearing for a longer period of time. The light weight of just 174 g helps that the small beyerdynamic headphone always sits comfortably.
And when you listen with this small T-model, you will hardly put it down. It really is astonishing how much of the sound of beyerdynamic’s big models can be achieved with the small T 51 p. It sounds really great and opens up a large stage. Typical for beyerdynamic: the headphone acts very dynamic with a fine resolution and provides a deep bass which is quite remarkable for a headphone of this brand. Although this tuning is very rich and full for beyerdynamic, even the lowest frequencies remain extremely agile and outlined. Despite the closed design, the impressive depth and the very regular volume levels, it is remarkable that the T 51 p does not build up unpleasant pressure in the bass response.
Rating: Silver class, good-very good
